Redbreast Ten-Year-Old Gilbeys Of Ireland
A late 60's bottle of Redbreast distilled by John Jameson & Sons in their Bow Street Distillery in Dublin. Bonded, Matured, and Bottled by Gilbeys of Ireland Limited who would buy the barrels and mature them in their own bonded whiskey stores.
These old Redbreast bottlings used a high proportion of Sherry casks for the maturation process.
Labeled as 'liqueur whiskey' does not mean that this is a 'liqueur' as such, in the case of old Irish whiskeys it was used to denote a product of superior quality. This is the ten-year-old as opposed to the more common 12-year-old bottling.
A limited-edition release to celebrate 30 years since the resurrection of Redbreast Irish Whiskey.
