Description

The House of Sandeman was founded in London, in 1790, by George Sandeman, a young Scottish man from Perth who decided to invest 300 pounds, lent by his father, in creating a business selling Port and Jerez wines. Always a pioneer, Sandeman was the first company to brand a fire barrel with its name, guaranteeing the quality of the wine it sold. For more than two centuries, Sandeman has based its success on a rare capacity for innovation and expertise passed down from generation to generation.

Currently, led by the Portuguese company Sogrape Vinhos, Sandeman clearly sees itself as "the" global Port and Jerez brand and proudly signs: "Sandeman, Famous for Pleasure".
