Barolo can be considered one of the greatest wines of Italy. Located in an elevated area, the vineyard is composed of calcareous marls, magnesium, and manganese in the North-West, as well as iron in the South

On the other, classic Barolos, are thick, tannic, and often dried out by late bottling. In general, Barolo is distinguished by a very dark color and remarkable aromatic complexity. Massive, racy yet elegant, these wines are characterized by notes of creamy vanilla, tobacco, and smoke.


The team has inspected this lot and found it to be suitable for sale. However, we cannot guarantee that the contents of this bottle will be free from the effects of age, cork taint, oxidation or other faults. Older bottles often contain sediment. Wines are more fragile than spirits and older wines may be listed, at our discretion, for their historical interest rather than their drinkability. We can in no way guarantee that they are still within their plateau of maturity or to the buyer’s taste.
This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
