Description
A 1983 Vintage Port bottled by Smith Woodhouse
Vintage Port is a specific style of Ruby Port which is made only in exceptional years and from the ripest grapes.
The fermented wine is fortified before being aged for 2 years in massive oak vats which preserve the ripe fruit character.
Upon bottling, the wines continue to age and can reward patient maturation for many decades.
