This is the World’s First Crystal Single Malt Irish Whiskey!
Teeling whiskey have today launched a spectacular whiskey in the Loop at Dublin Airport. This Single Malt builds on Teelings Knowledge of Crystal malt Single malt Irish Whiskey and the creative endeavors of their Master Distiller Alex Chasko.
Crystal Malt is created when the sugars that are naturally formed during the traditional malting process are crystallised through heat treatment in a closed system that prevents the moisture from escaping. This produces a highly distinctive toffee-like flavour, along with hints of tropical fruits. Limited to just 18,000 bottles, the Teeling Crystal Single Malt was triple distilled in their Dublin Distillery, consisting of their Single Malt that was crafted by adding Crystal Malt to the mash bill, followed by a maturation exclusively in Virgin American Oak Casks. Bottled at 46% with no chill filtration for an Irish whiskey of true character!
