Description

A release from Johnnie Walker's Ghost & Rare series, this time focusing on the distillery character and spirit from closed Port Ellen on Islay.

Not well known during its lifetime, since its closure in 1983, Port Ellen has risen in stature to become one of the world's most sought-after single malts.

This Johnnie Walker Blue Label release brings together Port Ellen with grain whiskies from closed Carsebridge and Caledonian distilleries, as well as rare malts from Mortlach, Dailuaine, Cragganmore, Blair Athol and Oban.

A fantastic Presentation of this Rare whisky. Bottle No. EU10558

LOT No. IWA: 65596813

Guide Price: €300 - €400

The Highlands

Scotland’s largest whisky region boasts a diverse array of styles, from rich and textured to fragrantly floral, as befits an ever-changing landscape of coastline, moor and mountain. Even without the famed Speyside enclave, you’ll find some of whisky’s most famous names here. The world renowned Dalmore, Aberfeldy, Glendronach, Glenmorangie, Oban and Tomatin distilleries all call the highlands their home but the tastes that they produce all vary more than the distance between them. The collectability of these famous highland brands makes them some of the most sought after whiskies in the world
