A bottle of Dunphy's Special Export from the Original Cork distilleries.

Dunphys Special Export
Cork Distilleries Company (now part of Irish Distllers Limited) created a light bodied blend for American tastes in 1955 called "Original Irish The Very Best Imported Whiskey" which was renamed in circa 1958 as "Dunphy's Original Irish The Very Best Imported Whiskey".
This was originally destined for the US export market to cater for the popularity of Irish Coffee, it was discontiued in the US in 1988.
This 70 proof special export edition dates from the 1970s or early 1980s.
A newer version of the brand can still be found today in Ireland and is sold as a budget bottling.
