A treble Distilled Whiskey Distilled by B Daly & Co Ltd, Tullamore and bottled by Edward Dudley Smith & Co. Ltd, Bristol Possibly late 1800's or early 1900's liquid from the famous Tullamore Distillery Originally established in 1829 the Daly Family Took ownership in 1846 in 1886 Alfred Barnard noted  that Daly employed around 100 people and was producing about 270,000 gallons of whisky per year (higher than at Kilbeggan and Birr distilleries). At that time, the premises comprised eight grain stores, four malting houses and kilns, a grist mill with eight pairs of stones, two mash tuns, and four stills with a combined volume of 48,000 gallons. It was powered by three steam engines, one of which was 200hp In 1903, the distillery was incorporated under the name B Daly & Co. Ltd., with both Captain Daly and the Williams family having shares in the company. However, in 1931, the Dalys left the business and the distillery came under complete control of the Williams family which by that stage were using the Tullamore DEW name. On the label it says Produce of Eire and 70 Proof. In Very Good condition with the original cork intact and part of the foil seal. Some sediment in the liquid.

A late 60's  bottle of Redbreast distilled by John Jameson & Sons in their Bow Street Distillery in Dublin. Bonded , Matured and Bottled by Gilbeys of Ireland Limited who would buy the barrels and mature them in their own bonded whiskey stores. These old Redbreast bottlings used a high proportion of Sherry casks for the maturation process. Labeled as  ‘liqueur whiskey’ does not mean that this is a ‘liqueur’ as such, in the case of old Irish whiskeys it was used to denote a product of superior quality. This is the ten year old as opposed to the more Common 12 year old bottling. There is no Bottle volume marked or ABV indicated. In Excellent condition, A very Rare find

The Ultimate Symbol for any prestigious Manor House Hotel in Ireland is to have the Ultimate Irish Whiskey with their name on it and that is exactly what Adare Manor in Limerick have done. They, together with master Distiller Brian Nation and Master Distiller Emeritus Barry Crockett they have produced one of the flagship bottlings from the Midleton Very Rare series. Highly collectable and highly sought after , this will definitely be one for the future generations to behold. This bottle is signed on the release night by both Brian Nation and Barry Crockett Limited to only 192 bottles from the cask, with lest than 100 being made available to the general public this is a rare opportunity to purchase a piece of Irish Whiskey History. "Adare Manor’s Midleton Very Rare whiskey is a single cask Irish whiskey, which was laid down to mature on the 12th of January 1995 in an American oak barrel that previously held Bourbon whiskey.  A single pot still Irish whiskey, the distillate was crafted from a mash of malted and unmalted barley and distilled three times in Midleton’s copper pot stills – a process that creates a silky mouthfeel and imparts a spicy character to the finish. After 23 years in the maturation warehouse, carefully overseen by the craftsmen of Midleton, the result is a smooth and complex Irish whiskey with notes of sandalwood, dark chocolate and zesty fruits, which is bottled at 52.5% ABV.  With 192 bottles from the cask, it is going to remain Very Rare. Of that nearly 100 bottles are already laid down in the hotel’s cellar for their own use and distribution. With 22 bottles being sold for the launch, the hotel will reveal their plans for the remaining bottles in the new year." Taken From the blog That's Dram Good by Omar Fitzell

A Bottle Of Irish Whiskey Bonded and Bottled by Yates Brothers Wine Lodges , Manchester. In Fair Condition, 26FL OZ 70 Proof. The Yates company was originally stated by Peter and Simon Yates in Oldham in 1884. It was known as Britain’s oldest pub chain and latterly the company built a portfolio of over 150 pubs and venues. The Yates Brothers Wine Lodges were a core element of that portfolio. This whiskey was bottled and bonded in Manchester, the inclusion of a post code on the label suggests this bottling is 1960s at the earliest, however the screwcap is a strong indication that this was bottled in the 1970s at 70 degrees proof. As for the contents we may never know but it is clearly indicated as Irish Whiskey and Produce of Ireland and most likely a blended whiskey. Additional notes by Leo Phelan @TheWhiskeyBro
